Please Note: Some drivers are exiting the main Church Parking Lot through the ENTRY LANE instead of the EXIT LANE. The traffic scheme was designed to prevent accidents; please adhere to it. ST. PAUL KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, ST. ANDREW KIM COUNCIL 9930… begin this year's Lenten Fish Fries on Friday, March 8, 2019: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the New Parish Center, 2412 Stillhouse Dr., Harker Heights, TX 76548. Menu: Fried Catfish or Baked Tilapia, hush puppies, French fries, Cole slaw, pinto beans, coffee, tea and lemonade. Cost: Age 4 and under, FREE / Ages 5 - 12, $6.00 / Age 13 and older, $8.00. The other dates are: March 15, 22, 29 and April 5 & 12 - all in the New Parish Center, 6 - 8 pm. Fish Fry is open to all the public.
ST. PAUL CHONG HASANG ANNUAL PARISH SEDER MEAL... will be held on April 17, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the New Parish Center. Tickets will be sold after each weekend Mass on March 30 & 31st, April 6 & 7, and April 13 & 14 - no ticket sales after the 7:30 am Mass on Palm Sunday. The ticket cost is $12.00 per person. This event is appropriate for ages 12 and over. The Dress Code is Smart/Casual.
LENTEN PENITENTIAL OBSERVANCE
- The days of penance are Ash Wednesday and all Fridays in Lent.
- Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast and abstinence.
- All Fridays in Lent are days of abstinence only.
- The law of abstinence (not eating meat) applies to those who have completed their fourteenth year of age.
- The law of fast (only one full meal each day; nothing between meals) applies to those who have completed their 18th year until the beginning of their 60th year of age.
- Proportionately grave inconvenience excuses one from the laws of fast and abstinence.
- The substantial observance of these laws is a grave obligation.
- Anyone who neglects all forms of penance violates divine law and is guilty of grave sin.
- Anyone who occasionally violates the law of fast and/or abstinence is not guilty of sin.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS…
All Fridays during Lent in the Church starting at 6:00 pm.
St. Paul has a Family Room located inside the Church, just to the right of the Altar as viewed from the pews. The room is equipped with chairs, space for walking around, a restroom, and a diaper changing area. A darkened glass wall subdues sound within and permits a full view of the Mass. Installed speakers relay everything said on the Altar.
ETHICS AND INTEGRITY WORKSHOPS (changes in 2019) …
"EIM WORKSHOP -
All clergy, religious, seminarians, employees and adult volunteers serving in a ministry requiring EIM compliance must submit an EIM Application for Ministry (one-time only) and attend an EIM Workshop at least once every three years. Go to www.eappsdb.com/austin to submit a new application or login to your existing account to find the list of workshops and to signup (use the Alternate Login if you don't recall ID/password). Contact your parish EIM site administrator (Donna Perry / 254-526-0202) if a paper EIM application or other assistance with EIM compliance matters is needed.
1) attendees must pre-register at least 24 hours before workshop start time - walk-ins are no longer admitted;
2) arrive early - late arrivals are not admitted; and
3) do not bring children to the EIM workshop. If you are a victim of sexual abuse and have concerns regarding your attendance at a workshop, contact Emily Hurlimann at (512) 949-2447 to discuss an alternative workshop arrangement.
