Part of the EMHC Ministry is visiting patients in the Seton Hospital (Harker Heights) with Communion. This takes place each day from 2 pm to 3:15 pm, 7 days a week. Please note the following points of contact:

Paul Neault is the POC for Rosewood. (Saturdays at 11 am; Service or Mass).
Chuck Schnapp is the POC for Indian Oaks. (Fridays at 10:15 am; Service or Mass)

The candidate to become a Lay Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is selected from volunteers who are invited to attend classes for this ministry by our Pastor, Father Richard O'Rourke, MSC.
Father Richard is the primary instructor for these classes which cover a wide range of topics including:
Lay persons completing the classes are commissioned as needed by the Pastor during the Sunday Mass at which they will usually minister. A Certificate of Authorization of an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is presented to the newly commissioned ministers. This authorization is generally for two to three years. At the end of that time the minister will undertake a different ministry, or may be given additional training.
